Description: These bracelets were designed with Brandon Hamm in mind using his favorite colors.
Brandon is a 19 year old who has had 4 bouts with cancer since he was 3 years old. When he was 3 he had rhabdomyosarcoma in his right thigh. He underwent chemo, radiation and then tumor removal surgery. Then when he was 7 he had radiation induced osteosarcoma in his right femur. Again, chemo and surgery to remove the femur with a titanium rod. He was then tested for LFS which came back positive. Needless to say we were devastated but knew we still had to make sure he lived his life to the fullest and try to not worry. We then later found out that I was the LFS carrier because I had breast cancer in 2014. So from then on me and Brandon have yearly full body and brain MRIs. In 2017 his full body showed a tumor on his one kidney and a suspicious spot on the left side of his jaw. Both areas were biopsied. Kidney was cancer but the jaw was not. So January of 2018 he had the kidney tumor removed. Then his MRI in November 2018 showed another tumor in his other kidney. That one was removed as well. The docs kept an eye on his left lower jaw and did a biopsy in March of this year again and that showed osteosarcoma again. He just had a left mandible removal with reconstruct with is right fibula. He is recovering right now.
He has been through so much in his life and he is the strongest kid i know. It's just sad that when he goes through this he looks at us and says "I'm just used to it". Nobody should have to "get used" to dealing with cancer.
